Caili O’Doherty is a New York–based jazz pianist, composer, and educator dedicated to making jazz both accessible and inspiring for new learners. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, she brings a deep understanding of both performance and pedagogy to her teaching. Known for connecting musical concepts to the structures of language, her approach helps students develop creativity, confidence, and fluency at the keyboard. An award-winning artist recognized by DownBeat Magazine and the ASCAP Foundation for excellence in performance and composition, Caili combines her experience as an international performer with her passion for education to guide students through the rich tradition and expressive freedom of jazz.
Caili is Open Studio Pro instructor leading weekly live sessions and has a beginner Open Studio course, Jazz Piano Primer.
