How we got here?

2015

Open Studio is formally a company – a single place to come for the best online jazz education.

Brian Fielding, long-standing Audible senior leadership team member, joins Open Studio as business advisor.

Open Launches its newest innovation, Living Notation, a completely interactive way to engage the music during lessons and performances.

2016

Peter and Dan quickly realize they can’t do this alone and the team grows to 5 people, bringing on Adam Maness (Creative Director).

2017

Open Studio kicks into high gear to produce courses from the most in demand jazz artists, while at the same time immensely expanding the piano curriculum.

2018

Open Studio members expand to over 100 countries.

For the first time, a second pianist is brought in as an instructor, and 5-time GRAMMY Award winning vocalist Dianne Reeves joins the roster.

2019

By popular demand, the All-Access Pass is launched, giving access to the entire catalog of Open Studio courses for a single membership fee. This allows players to grow at their own pace with the freedom explore more courses.

LIVE @ Open Studio premieres with live-streamed performances by Open Studio artists in front of a live in-person & virtual audience.

Open Studio launches its 19th piano course, establishing itself as the leading jazz piano platform in the world.
