Art of Swing

Tipping techniques for bass and drums from two modern masters.

Swing harder = more gigs.

Nothing kills a performance like a bassist or drummer that can't swing.

Don't be that player. Be the player everyone wants to work with.

Let Reuben Rogers and Ulysses Owens Jr., two modern masters of swing, take you on a journey of feel, style, connection, and how to practice swing that will change your playing forever.

And with every note transcribed on both instruments, you won't miss a beat.

After completing this course you'll be able to:

  • play all of the essential swing feels including straight-ahead, 3/4, ballads, uptempo, and more
  • create a strong connection between the bass and drums
  • comp and support for a sound that lifts the whole band
  • create your own practice routines to improve your time, sound, and feel
